oh shit that’s right. Warped’s 20 anniversary is coming up.
Dude. That line up
the most epic thing
on the planet.
Can you imagine? omfg
So I had the chance to not only go to six dates of Warped Tour this summer, but I also got to work three of those dates. One with Aspire & Create aka Paper Alligator, and two with Fearless Records. It was the first time that I ever volunteered for any vendor and I would absolutely do it again. Everyone that works Warped Tour is so nice and just really love what they do. You got to to deal with some of the shit they have to do everyday. Volunteering at so many dates made me realize how much I would really love to do the same thing. Yeah, some things about it suck to the max. Like the heat, and the dust in New Mexico (omfg that was TERRIBLE.) But that’s not the reason you do it. You do it because of the music. Because of the community, fans and bands and crew all together. It’s just a type of magic that happens. And that more than anything is what I experienced on Warped Tour this summer. It will be a tough Warped to beat.
Besides getting to meet alot of the people behind the scenes and the ones that actually make Warped possible every day, I had an opportunity to go backstage at a few of the dates. I got to be side stage for Memphis May Fire, Bring Me the Horizon, letlive., and blessthefall. Not to mention I met so many people between sets. Although being sidestage is really cool, it doesn’t beat being in the crowd. It’s just a different kind of energy.
Forget about just one Best Day Ever. I got to have six of them.
Tonight Alive #FearlessSummer
Hey guys, check out some footage of Tonight Alive at Warped this year and preorder their new album on MerchNow!
I would LOVEEEEEEE to see what happens LOL
I’ve been excited for Tonight Alive’s new album for so long, and now it’s finally coming out in September! I got to see their new single “The Ocean” live at Warped Tour and it’s seriously now one of my favorite songs. The reason I love this band is because of how honest the stories they tell are. “The Ocean” is all about facing your fears and I think all of us can relate to that. Make sure you guys preorder the album starting July 31st!
I miss being on tour. I miss showing up at Warped and waving at the vendors and roadies that started to recongize me. I miss getting a daily hug from Jason Butler, relieved that I made the drive okay and that I’m still alive. I miss trying to decide between seeing Memphis May Fire or Bring Me the Horizon because honestly, neither are a bad choice. I miss saying hello to Anthony Sepe everyday and getting a hug instead of just a wave. I even miss Kellin Quinn’s horrible baby jokes.
Yeah. I miss being on tour.
